The stock FPR is a rising rate regulator. And it will work fine for your application.

Doesn't a rising rate regulator, such as the one that comes with the Comptech kit, introduce an additional variable making active fuel control more difficult for the EMS? A fixed ratio FPR, such as the AEM, would enable increased fuel pressure while allowing the EMS to more easily control fuel flow.

It is a rising rate regulator, but only to a certain point? I have had many shops (and people on this board for that matter) tell me that my OEM FPR (which is currently in the fuel tank ) will limit the amount of boost I can run. I am awfully confused here.

No its not a rising rate to a certain point. It maintains a steady fuel pressure differential across the injectors. Lets say your maximum boost is 20 psi and the base fuel pressure is set at 45 psi. When the boost hits 20 psi the fuel pressure will be raised to 65 psi to maintain the 45 psi differential.

And the stock FPR is not located in the fuel tank. Its mounted on the fuel rail that feeds the injectors. The fuel pump is located in the tank and should be replaced with a high flow unit if you are boosting much more than 10 psi.

I am saying that for the MY06+ it is located in the fuel tank.

I am thinking about changing out my entire fuel setup: fuel cell, Aeromotive inline fuel pump, Aeromotive fuel filter, Aeromotive or AEM FPR, and custom fuel rail.

AEM FPR for the reason as stated previously, it's red.

My mistake. If you do convert, I have a stock '02 rail with a red AEM FPR mounted and the rail is drilled and tapped with a Defi pressure sensor. If you have any interest, let me know.

Thanks for the heads-up!
