Finally a Greddy turbo AP1 1/4 mile pass
Well, I took my s2k out to the track today for the first time since going turbo.. The temps outside were ungodly hot though, I would say upper 90s at the track. I started getting faster once the track started cooling, but by that time it was getting too crowded so I left. I am in dire need of a retune, which will take me a couple weeks to get.
*At the track I was running 9psi and afr is the low 10s at WOT...*
Best:
.9419 --------- Reaction
2.06 --------- 60'
8.802 -------- 1/8th Mi ET
80.77 -------- 1/8th Mi MPH
13.6129 ----- 1/4 Mi ET
100.68 ------- 1/4 Mi MPH
2nd Best:
.9710 --------- Reaction
2.10 --------- 60'
8.944 -------- 1/8th Mi ET
79.51 -------- 1/8th Mi MPH
13.793 ------- 1/4 Mi ET
100.44 ------- 1/4 Mi MPH
Like I said it was running extremely hot at the track.. I ran against a z06 anniversary that was putting down 105-110 mph where he said he usually runs 113-120. After a retune and a bigger single exhaust I should see 12's which is my goal.
Here is a run at the track before the turbo when I put down 207rwhp:
R/T .... .191
60 ...... 2.432
1/8 .... 9.455
MPH . 77.24
1/4 .... 14.481
MPH . 97.56

Good job. I found the car ran worse every run. There is so much heat soak lining up, and the cool off time is way to long to be practical. I may hook up a relay so the fans can be left on when I like.

10psi is still in band for this turbo. The car is heat soaking. This kit is very picky about heat due to the stock compression and stock ecu. Once fall comes back around, the Greddy kits are going to wake back up.

at the time i was only hitting 5.5 psi by redline and had an exhaust leak between the manifold and turbo, and ran a 14.0 @ 100.xx mph without a launch and with pretty bad wheel hop

If you data log from the line to the trap, you'll see how much the iat and coolant temps shoot up. Gassing it slightly at idle causes the iat's to slowly go down. That's heat soak. I'm wondering if insulating the charge and intake pipes would help any. I may give it a try.
