If you have to ask, you know you're in trouble. I've never seen any product use less than 1 diameter of thread engagement. Did a quick math using online calculators and also looked at the machinist handbook; they all recommend the 1x value as a minimum (up to 3x for aluminum).
If you include the dynamic loads, you're even more in the trouble. There is potential of the threads sheering off.

^^ Bump for formal Avid response. I'd like to hear what their long term corrective action is. Whether they plan to fix the design flaw, or supply a shallow nut as a workaround. If they plan to continue manufacturing with the current design, are they going to offer free replacements if the threads shear?
Also, something to think about. Separating/tearing the stock motor mounts take a lot of energy. This same pull force is going to apply to the marginal threads on the Avid mounts. Do you think the Avid mounts will last in the longer term

I have been away from this for a while out of town for work. I also received a call from Franklin, the new nut "work around" isn't something I plan to risk using in my vehicle.
LJ , I will PM you for instructions when I am back to a PC with full capabilities

honestly i dont like this shallow nut quick fix at all, I would like to see the correct stud lengths, then I will run these in a heartbeat, its too bad these got off to such a shitty start, bc these mounts really do look great, as for now ill be waiting for a finished product
