Extrude Honing Turbo
So I've been reading up on Extrude Honing intake manifolds and everyone said its a waste of money because the oem manifold is already well made. But I've been reading up on extrude honing on turbos and it has been said that it both quickens spool and you will be able to make the same power with less boost. Has anyone one here ever Extrude Honed a turbo...I mean its cheap and if it helps what could it hurt?

Not at all. When people hone turbines they hone the wastegate port and exhaust inlet and outlet to improve boost control and maybe add alittle power. Gt35's and 30's are not classed by the A/R of there housings rather by the design on the compressor and turbine wheels.

Well from what donald said, this is achieved when ordering a turbo. For instance, mot people order a GT30R that has the HSG compressor housing on it (4"in 2.5" or 2" out). By selecting the size A/R turbine housing (either .63 or .82 on a 30R) allows for mid or top end power. If you are looking for something between a 30R and a 35R, you might want to look at the Precision billet (aka HP) series turbos. I just received a 5965E turbo that is good for 620 CRANK hp, or about 530rwhp. Now there are a wide range of these turbos on the line to choose from. Check out nolimitmotorsports.com
