Default Exhaust Manifold Gasket Question

Hey guys, got a quick question about gaskets. I assumed that the gasket that came with my kit was an OEM, but when I checked it out today it was a different kind of material instead of the metal one like OEM. Should I use this or wait and order an OEM? Here's a picture of what the material it's made of looks like

Anybody have any input on this? I was hoping to start my install tonight after work, but nobody local has an OEM gasket.

My preference would be oem if the head flange on the manifold is flat, need to check it on a surface plate. If not that gasket seems thicker and may take up the imperfections better.
If not flat I'd sill prefer to deck it flat on a surface plate with some sand paper and use the oem gasket.

I had that as oem then came with my obx. When I ordered my v2 KP manifold I went to the Honda dealer and ordered a new gasket and received a thin metal gasket. I think it'll be fine as I ran 6 thin metal gaskets on my cummins when I was making 800hp..

For piece of mind, I would hold out and try to source an OEM gasket. One less thing to worry about.

I would go with OEM metal. The above gasket will stick to metal surfaces and break apart when you have to take of the manifold/header again.

Thanks for the advice guys. That's what I decided to go ahead and do. I'm just going to order one from my local dealer tomorrow and hopefully get it installed next weekend. I just feel better doing it that way.

You mind posting a detailed picture of that other gasket? I've gone through 2 new gaskets and can't get my PLM header to stop leaking.

I have not taken a straight edge to it, but looks straight. Next time I have it off, I will check..... As I have to take it off again. A gasket similar to an OEM Subaru gasket would do the trick though.
