ESM Wiring Pin Numbers
I'm trying to wire up the ESM and I've run into an issue with the diagrams posted in the past.
The diagram I'm working off of is below:
This diagram says that the green wire with white stripe should be connected to pin 7 of the harness. However, I have no green and white wire in pin 7. Instead, I have a green wire with white stripe in pin 4 (4 in from the slot marked pin 1). I've taken a picture of my harness and posted it below. Note that the green wire with white stripe that is supposedly located in pin 4 is above the yellow wire with red stripe in pin 19.
I believe the diagram I'm working off of has the numbers on the ends swapped. As you can see from the my picture, pin 10 starts a section of 4 pins. Where as in his diagram, the pin 10 grouping only has 3 wires. This would mean the "pin 7" in the diagram would be synonymous with "pin 4" in my picture. Does this seem correct?
Thanks in advance for any help!!

I made the diagram. Sorry for the confusion. But yes you are correct. I always look at plugs like they are already plugged into the ECU rather than looking at the face of the plug. I think most companies that write up diagrams also do this, go off the pins off the ECU rather than the face of the plug on the harness.
