From the pictures it looks like it might work if I remove the control arms. I'll have to wait for the lift before I decide whether to pull it from the top or bottom.

MMMMM. Built blocks are delicous. Can't wait to see you around Seattle. Good luck with the swap out. Shouldn't take ya too long. When the guys did mine they put everything together in the engine bay. Wish I had the knowhow to do it myself. Guess thats why I crunch numbers. LOL They didn't want to scratch anything but that bottom removal looks pretty slick.

I put everything together (except manifold/turbo) first on the engine stand then got a 2-post engine hoist and shoved that sucker in there. The space you have to work outside of the car is worth it. I think I recall you doing your own clutch changes so installing the tranny afterwards should be easy. Good luck!
