Default Engine removal questions

Almost there I got started late yesterday so she's not out yet. Question did you guys unhook the wiring harness from the ecu and feed it through? I'm removing the motor/trans through the top as a whole(I know Im gunna scratch shit no worries) I Dont need to loosen the starter since I'm taking them out as a whole correct? Btw 6mm driveshaft bolts suck

Yes, i pull the harness from the ecu and leave the engine side intact. Its easier that way. The only time i pulled the engine and trans as a whole though the top is after making a removable crossbeam. The car will have to be skyhigh and the engine/trans damn near vertical to come out that way. Let us know how it goes bro.

Yea I know that's why I'm using a forklift as a crane and getting the car pretty damn high of the ground. Thanks

Go from the bottom, less chance of breaking sensors if you have the stock cross member in place.

Well boys and girls after a long ass day and night she's out. Half way through the day I went against my original thought (better judgement) and just separated trans in the car and dropped that and then yanked the motor out. Didn't drop the subframe cause I have to tow the car to a different location today so I felt it to be. A pita to drop the subframe only to separate it on the ground and then rebolt it. Deffinately happy I changed my mind cause stuff would deffinately got f***** up regardless that I was using a forklift. I'll try to get up some pics my buddy took later. Working on 1.5hrs of sleep so I'm completely dead at work but it will all be worth it hopefully
