Default Engine cut off at 3k with Comptech Kit

For some reason my car decides to sometimes throw fits and set the rev limiter at 3k. There is no patern of why this happens, sometime while its warming up in the morning, sometimes after a couple hours of driving.

I keep it in gear and turn the key off, then back on the problem goes away. Sometimes it comes back right away, sometimes it doesn't do it again at all.

My guess is its something with the black box and the map actually seeing boost but I have checked and recheked all wiring and everything is fine.

Anyone else have this problem? Please share.

solder all the connection solid, chances are it may seem like its fine but then it could be losse as you drive.

From what your describing, it's the ESM. Take it out completely, start over and solder the connections.

What is it doing at 3K? Kicking and bucking or a drastic loss of power?
