Engine Built by Laskey Racing
Hey guys i was wondering if any of you guys got your engine built from Laskey Racing? Also i want to send my engine in to get built (benson sleeves, 9:1 cp pistons, pauter rods; etc) however, they said it take 6-8 weeks.
For the people who got it done from them what did you do while you had no engine? lol this is my DD so it might be a problem. I can deal with a few days-a week but no more.

I have an old civic i drove in college, and I used that while my engine was at Laskey. I had pipe dreams for the first month and half of getting the engine back in less than 3 months so that I could drive it durring the end of the summer, but Laskey took the whole 4 months to complete. You definately need another car as a dd, but don't be discouraged. They do great work, and I will be sending any other f20c engine to them in the future.

I had type r motor built there couple years ago took a solid 3 months to build another 2 weeks to get here. I bought a separate motor to build and drove my car until it was ready to be put in.

there is one on ebay right now going for a good price, buy it, send it to be rebuilt to your needs, drive your car and then just spend few days on swap. that way you don't loose much time, plus have a spare block

www.car-part.com that site searches junk yards in your region. Buy a used shortblock. send it to laskey. When you get it back swap everything onto the new shortblock and party on. You wont have any downtime aside from the time it takes you to swap the new engine in.
Had a engine built from laskey racing (benson sleeves, pauter rods, cp pistons) and they are top notch.
