so let me get this straight...
DSPORT decided to have an s2k FI shootout. thats fine.
they didn't tell the manufacturers to show up with cars running a certain amount of boost? uhhhhh, thats pretty retarded. everybody in turboland here compares manifold to manifold at the same pressure. makes perfect sense. this one flows better than that one. yadda yadda. if UR showed up wiht an 8psi setup and SOS showed up with a 13psi setup, how can you possibly compare that?
and now - because sos just happened to show up withe most power, they get blamed for cheating?
i don't get it. oh, and as a result of all the confusion and obvious frustration of the readers, the vendors, and the results, i wont be buying this issue.

You should really watch the DVD firsthand. It is very entertaining and the driver goes into much more detail than just describing horsepower figures. He talks about driving characteristics and so on. It is a worthwhile DVD and that's not just for the S2K FI segment. They cover AWD and FWD cars as well (although at that point my DVD wasn't playing well). Usually the naysayers are the ones who haven't experienced it firsthand.

The video was good. I didnt really agree with the driver on some points but what do I know. One thing of many that I found interesting was his description of the vortech kit. He basically said its harder to control you cant get into the throttle as much or its too much power? I never once thought that about my vortech my car feels stock just with more power so I dont get that.
The other thing that annoyed me about the magazine is how biased it was. Dont get me wrong I love the new 370z its a awesome car and I wouldnt mind owning it at all but how much money did nissan have to pay d sport to do this test? Did anyone else notice while watching the dvd that they launched all the cars like a grandma except the 370. The s2000 they roll off the start I wonder why it was a 15 second run. The 370z smokes the tires off the line like hes actually racing.
All in all I think it was a cool magazine but I dont trust them at all and do not take anything they say seriously. I would have also preffered seeing another driver test the cars.
