Default Different Comptech Kit between 00/01 and 02/03?

i tried searching and didnt see any posts about this yet.

I was looking on comptech's site and saw that they had a different part # for their supercharger kit for 00/01 and 02/03. What is the difference in this kit?

I was wondering because i was looking at buying a kit from someone used online but they said it was comptech part #350-044 which is the '02 & '03 kit, but i have a MY00 which is listed on comptech's site as part #350-040.

thanks,
Martin

I may stand corrected but I think the earlier kits from Comptech utilized some goofy bleed-off device to make sure the MAP sensor never sees boost. The newer kits use some sort of electronic MAP clamp. It is an improvement.

If you notice on there site there is a different part number for the CAI for 00/01 and 02/03. This is the only difference in the SC kit.

I believe all Comptech kits come with the ESM regardless of the year of car it's intended for. Like SanMarino indicated, the differences may only be that you need a horn relocation kit for the later cars. You won't see that MAP bleed thing on any kits sold today, no matter what year of car.

Yup. Of course, when buying used, there is always a strong possibility that something is missing.

I have called Comptech on this and I know for a fact the only difference is the horn mount bracket for the 02-03. The kit is the same
