Where is the oil jacket located on the sc? Is it located near the pulley?
The pulley you see is mounted on a shaft that runs through the middle of the supercharger. That shaft rides on bearings inside the blower. The bearings will be lubricated by oil. If that's where the oil is coming from, it could be following the shaft and out to the pulley where it gets thrown around. With the thing not turning, you should just see oil dripping from the shaft where it exits the blower housing.

BTW, Asura has the same supercharger as you. He's pretty knowledgeable about this sort of thing and he lives near you. Maybe he can help you out in person.

Looks like the output shaft seal is leaking on the SC. If you are undr warranty, give comptech a call. if not, call paxton direct. Comptech has to send the SC to paxton for service.

I say it's the SC bearing. It looks like the seal went bad and the high rpms in conjunction underhood turbulence is causing the oil to spray/fling everywhere.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I'll give Asura a call tomorrow. I'm still warrantied...only been sc'd since June 05 (although my car has more supercharged miles on it than na miles)

Call me anytime Gary.

I would also talk to Mariano at Paxton if you have to deal with them directly. Comptech will only refer you to them as per my experience.

Another thing you can do is check the impellar inlet and see if there is any seepage there between filter and the tube.

Yep, had gotten oil in the tubing between the sc and airfilter long before this. I initially though it was the crankcase breather, so it's remote now, as well as the bov. Nothing connected to the intake tube. Still had oil. This had been present since the first week or so of the sc install (which promoted me to remove all fittings to the intake tube).

Sounds as though my bearing seal may have been going already (internally), and now the external seal is shot too? I'm in contact with Shad, and hopefully I can go through Comptech. I called him soon after my installation for low boost issues and leak at the brass nut. I'll see what he can help me with on Tuesday.

Shad Huntley is awesome.

I think you are also <100 miles from Comptech.
