Default Comptech SuperCharger

Anyone know the best place to get a Comptech SC at the best price? I can buy off of going through google, but through I would see if I can send the business to a forum sponsor.

Thanks

no idea about comptech but vortech is extremely similar in design. i was under the impression that comptech is no longer producing the supercharger kit. scienceofspeed.com is still selling the comptech kit, nothing insanely cheap though.

why don't you just search through the classifieds on here? There have been a few for sale as of late.

Thanks for the help guys. SBAP2 - Im not sure I want to go the used route and worry about parts missing. I would like new, but having been talking to the guys selling used as well.

I contacted SOS and they stated Comptech isn't making the SC for the S2000.....

in the for sale/classifieds section there have been a few "steals" on used supercharger kits in the last couple of months. it is tempting but as you said possibility of missing parts, worn items, broken brackets, trashed bearings, unknown sellers, makes it all too risky. blindly sending three grand through paypal across the country is not for me either.

it seems that you are really set on the comptech kit (novi1000). vortech is very similar and has cut pricing on "tuner" kits. science of speed is about to debut a supercharger kit with a novi1200 (non-ac, ac, and you-tune) all at competitive pricing. there is a thread regarding this kit in the FI section, check out the first page and open the sos link for information.

why buy new one for 6k if a used one works just as fine. There are numerous people on these forums who have had the comptech s/c on there car for over 100k miles and havn't had any large issues besides maybe rebuilding the blower itself, but even then it still only costs 300 bux to send it out and have it rebuilt. which still adds up to much cheaper then buying the whole new kit. but its up to him, either get a used kit with a bunch of add-on's and stuff for a good deal or spend 6k for a brand new kit w/o aftermarket goodies, that you might need for future use.
