Default Comptech SC'er

I got a used comptech SC'er. Since there centrifugal chargers is there anything you can do to it like a turbo? I know you can get like ported and big wheel stock turbo for other cars is there anything you can do with a comptech other than just gettin it rebuilt? I know after time they lose a little bit of psi. just wondering if there was any other ways out there than just upping the boost.

if you want to stick with Comptech, you can get a Novi2000 instead of the Novi1000 that comes with the kit. There was a user who did this a long time ago but not sure how the project ended

It ended with a blown engine. As did everyone else that tried using the Novi2000. Looks like it may be too big for our little engine. I'm hoping someone tries the Novi1200 or Novi1500.

Does anyone know what psi it was running with the same pulley as the novi1000. Would it run more psi because its bigger or only run as much as the pulley limits it?

Sadly, this is true.

The only reason anyone would try the NOVI2000 in the first place was because it was the only Paxton NOVI-series blower that would bolt up using the brackets that Comptech provides in their kit. As I recall, only the 1000 and 2000 shared the same bolt-pattern, while the 1200 and 1500 had their own patterns. This information came from Paxton themselves, or at least that's what the poster here said (there was a thread about it here a while back, but I can't seem to find it as the search function is screwy).

Re-reading Gerdaland's post it seems he blew his motor due not because of the supercharger but because he forgot to attach his oil return line and blew his motor!

May he can chime in on this thread with some more details. Seems they were having some idle problems too.
