If it is the stock CT SC filter (foam) it need some air filter oil to keep the nasties out.

I recharge mine every oil change with K&N filter recharge kit.

ok so its all good then? cause i've been told that alot of comptech chargers leak oil. which i wasnt sure was true or not. i really need to hit a dyno so i can tell whether or not i gained power. cant really tell cause it is totally different then a turbo power band.

The power gain should be clear compared to stock. Just FYI, the belt often needs tightening in the first few hundred miles.

Is it really good to do it that often?

I've read some people do it every 6 month, and since mine isn't a daily driver, I do it once a year, and when I check it, its usually still pretty clean and full of oil.
