Default Comptech SC...do i need to upgrade...

I am in the process of purchasing a Comptech SC and I have been told and read that it is a good idea to upgrade the clutch and flywheel. My question is do I need to purchase a new clutch kit or just the clutch disc? Also is the Fidanza flywheel a good replacement?

Sorry if these are repeat questions, I tried searching for a while with no luck. Thanks for all the help.

Pressure plate is the key. If you're going to open her up for that, you might as well get the other items installed at the same time, but they are not necessary.

I agree with BN. If you need anything, check with Jeff/Joe first.

Lot's of people run a supercharger with no other modifications.

xviper is on the stock clutch and flywheel. It really depends on how hard you want to drive the car.

I would strongly recommend upgrading because the stock clutch can not handle high rpm fast shifts and will slip greatly if you run it hard.

like the above mentioned, the clutch and flywheel kit is great to have when blowned.

however, my car is supercharged and is running on 9 psi without a clutch kit, and it's running fine with no slipping.

i guess it all depends on how hard you drive your car and your preference.

IMO, it's not just "how hard your drive your car" but more to do with "how you drive your car hard". This statement will only be clear to you if you understand what I just said. (Not in a mood to explain it.)
