Comptech S/C just installed
I just installed a non A/C'ed Comptech S/C, and I have a few questions. I bought the kit used, and it came with a aftermarket BOV attached near the TB, at idle the BOV sucks in air because of the vaccum line attached to it. Is this normal, do I have my vaccum lines installed incorrectly. The car currently hesitates pretty bad around 3-4k rpm when driving. I will attach a pic shortly.

1. I am getting a cel, I dont have a scanner so I cant pull the code
2. I mean when im driving the car when I give it about 70% throttle it feels like its holding itself back this is around 3-4k rpm almost like its starving itself, and sometimes a lower rpm too, almost like the brakes are on. I havent pushed the car yet because I am conerned.

Thats another thing. I did solder the connections to the ecu. Heres the thing The previous owner Twiztid who I got the kit from gave me the ESM, but it did not say comptech on it. It had VC1 on the square black box, and it had the following wires coming out of it, blue, blue w/ red stripe and a red and black. I talked to Shad at comptech and he said that they never gave out an esm with the blue, blue w/ red stripe, red and black wires. He told me the wires should be, blue, green red and black. Anyone know if this is a Comptech ESM from the early model kits?
Would this cause it to hesitate, or would impoper vaccum line placement cause the hesitiation?
Attached is the diagram to wire the ESM that he provided me:
Another note, this is an early comptech kit, the ones with the hood prop rest on the carbon fiber airbox, not the ones that came with a cut out for the prop rod to rest in its original location

If air is being sucked in through the BOV, you have some restriction at the intake hose / filter. Is air going into the sc?

Just PM Twiztid, you do know he's a master technician for us here in New England! Good Luck.
