Default Comptech fuel pressure regulator V's

Can you use the AEM regulator that sits on the fuel rail instead of using the Comptech regulator?

Which would you say was the better one and why?

Nothing yet

I'm getting ready for more boost, got the EMS and tuner sorted, getting bigger injectors and then I read it might be helpful to use the AEM fuel pressure regulator.

It will be alright to use it now running stock set up?

The AEM doesn't rise the fuel pressure as much as the comptech.

They are two different things. If you're using the standard Comptech tuning you need the Comptech FPR (high ratio). If you're using proper engine management and larger injectors then you can use a conventional FPR (1:1 ratio) like the AEM.

I use the AEM EMS, 550cc injectors and the AEM FPR.

I wish I had posted this last night, then I wouldn't have fitted it yet.


A/F ratios were shocking with the AEM fitted.

Guess what I'm refitting tomorrow.

You can't swap the Comptech FMU to a 1:1 FPR without having some other means to add fuel in boost.
