Default Comp Turbo Technology

Hey guys i was setting up a turbo charger build for my 2005 s2k, and was thinking of going with comp turbo technology.
So i was wondering if anyone is using them and if they are what size did you go with and how do you like the set up. Also did you go with the oil less turbo and did you go with the billet turbo. Any feed back on this would be greatly appreciated.

it sounds good in theory, but i feel theres a reason u dont see more people running these, i would go with what works like garrett or borg or i hate to say it, precision

Talk to tony at T1. He has some experience with them. I had contacted them about a custom turbo but they did not have anything to accomadate the size I wanted so I ended up going with Garrett. Very nice people to talk to and very knowledgable.

If I were to run a 62 to 72mm turbo, it would be a Comp turbo, no doubt about it.

A local shop that has done a few custom s2000 kits loves to use these turbos. I chatted with the guy for a bit. They have to be serviced but he said that it was quick and cheap. Also a ball bearing upgrade is a fraction of what it would cost to do a precision or Garrett unit.

If you're talking about the Comp Triplex stuff i know a LOT of people that have had failures with them. This was a little while back and i'm not sure if they have rectified it yet but I just would steer clear of them.

I had a friend local to me that went with a 5356 (i think) and it ran excellent for a little while, then needed to be rebuilt...3 times.
