Clutch for Turbo?

Clutch for Turbo?
Hi everyone,
Basically Ive finally decided to turbocharge my stewie, im shooting for around 425whp and 300lbs/tq just from seeing what other people are making on their settings. What clutch is going to work with my goals and keep the car as happily daily driven without buying a clutch, that requires that "sweet spot" just to drive it and ruins the joy of driving the s.

I have Comp Clutch stage 4 (6 puck sprung) To me it is perfect. great for daily driving. You can feel that you have aftermarket but nothing that you'll be stalling out at stop lights. Had 400whp all last year and it held up no problems.

This is what I did, works well for this hp without any slippage at all.
Remembers folks, TQ is what counts in terms of power that can be held in a clutch. I held 300ft/lbs no problem. I plan to have it hold 400ft/lbs+ next. If it slips a little you just slide in the sport disc or a puck even if you go further. Easy.
Ap1 flywheel while you're at it, I'm glad I did and I didn't resurface it.

I couldn't agree more....!!
The ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate, paired with the OEM Disc is an Awesome Clutch Choice..! Choosing this set-up you will be good up to about 375 ft-lbs of torque and better yet you retain ALL of the drivability of the Stock set-up. In fact you get a slightly earlier engagement, and an improved pedal feel.
Once you go this route you'll wonder why you didn't have this set-up all along.
Speaking from experience running this set-up: 35,000 + miles Super Charged @ 340 HP....and....Currently 10,000 + miles Turbo'd @ 528 HP, and haven't had a single issue & holding strong. To Quantify....I'm also not the "Clutch Dump" from a dead stop kinda driver either.

Not a fan of the competition clutches. They are aggressive in bite but not pedal feel. In turn, it's a bit weird to drive. The pedal is just way too mushy and soft, and pairing that up with a 6 or 4 puck disc, it's not the best of feeling.
The act hdss kit is amazing. Holds about 350 lb/ft torque and has the nicest pedal feel and bite I've ever had in any car. Great for the street and the full face disc paired with the heavy duty pressure plate, it provides good drivability.

I HATED my cc4 for the first 1000 miles. After it broke in its not bad and Ive gotten pretty use to it. I will probably purchase another one when this one goes.

I got a sick deal on a Comp twin from a buddy, and am plenty happy with it, I also DD the car.
It is certainly a bit more of a task to drive over stock but wanted plenty of room for more power down the road.
For your goals, I wouldn't recommend anything other than the stock disc/ upgraded plate option.
