Wow. Above and beyond my expectations in regards of solid information in your responses. Thank you.

For a more detailed description of my buddies scenario - He isn't the most mechanically savy individual. He knows quite a bit, but nothing on an experienced level. Swapping or major modification to the rear end is a no-go, however he will never put slicks or even a drag radial on the car and is more into roll racing. We DO go to the drag strip every now and then for fun, but driving for relaibility won't be ignored. The ideal situation.. Leave rear alone, upgrade clutch (when stock goes out), and a stout setup on the motor without having to jump to a standalone. From what I'm reading, 350rwhp might be a more ideal number to aim/build for. Don't get me wrong, he has many friends able to help him out, but I think a lower point would make a better area to start out the learning process at. I didn't start out low, and it ended up in a blown motor - which is now properly built as the Camaro I previously mentioned.

Pointing out the rpm-boost ratio for a supercharger and the smaller turbo damn near immediate spool is a good point. I have a T-70 on a 3.8 motor, spool can be an issue. I also was thinking more toward a centri for him because of the lesser amount of parts to fail. Probably going to go Turbo anyway.

We do have emissions, but we have 5+ friends who are inspectors or own/run shops who do inspections and it isn't an issue for a sticker.

The stock 11:1 compression is quite up there.. I planned on tuning it myself via Hondata and just figuring it out, but that makes me feel a tad sketchy about doing it. So we're gonna take it to a dyno no matter what we do.

I think that answers all questions and discussions presented.

Thank you for the kind words on my vehicles. I'll post up the Fquick for both my Z06 and the Camaro here: http://www.fquick.com/obsidiansixer

A general jist of the cars - the Z06 is my daily driver with just an intake and as of yesterday, 125 wet shot. 362rwhp/358rwtq with nothing but an intake. No dyno for nitrous yet. The Camaro is my toy, that is the shock and amaze monster that I will likely never part with. On 20 lbs with the .68 A/R T-70 and the current engine setup (before the 120 lb injectors/current fuel system were in, this dyno went to 121% duty cycle on 65 lb injectors) it dyno'd 614rwhp/578rwtq. With the new fuel system and 50/50 meth on it, within the next month it will be tuned for 28 lbs and a goal of 750-800rhwp given no issues arise.

The best part about this Camaro.. It looks, and sounds like a bolt on - if not stock - V6 Camaro with Z06 rims.

A quick story of my first race with it on the old engine right out of highschool. Turbo K20 EG Civic vs. Me on 9 lbs (400rwhp on the dot.)
I have a borla exhaust which comes with differentiated plates you slide in before the muffler, I use the "silent" plate. With the car running around it's more quiet and covers the lope better than my old V6 firebird with a catback and stock otherwise. The car has an electric cutout right after the downpipe as well. Along with the nitrous which was on the car at the time, it was a pretty badass car, even back then. I rolled into a meet with a bunch of nissans and hondas and immeidately after arrival a group of a few kids appoach me (the big bad domesitc) and a tall awkward looking lanky kid with long hair asked me what was in it. I responded with "A V6.", quickly followed by him and his "crew" laughing it off with him talking all kinds of trash. We walk away ignoring them to talk to friends. After making rounds at the meet I run into a kid who is brothers with the guy who apparently built the guys car who laughed at me earlier, (who has only had the car 1 week at the time, and doesn't know much detail about the car himself.) he tells me it's only 310whp currently - good to know. Later that night as we are loitering around our cars the same group walks up talking more unwanted and unneeded trash talk so I asked him if he wanted to run for $100, his eyes lit up and he asked if I was serious/crazy. I insisted I'm quite serious and he agreed - running back to his car telling everyone. We all left heading to the local street-strip and without even getting out the cars, we lined up after all the followers parked in various places surrounding the strip. His girlfriend got out his car (not the most attractive girl..might I add.) went in front of us and took her bra out of her shirt. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, no offense to anyone, but she had to of been almost 200 lbs and 5'8" ish. Well, My windows are cracked and I roll them down to confirm the race, he starts yelling how I'm out of my league blah blah. I look over at him and smile as I open up my cutout turning the car from stockish sounding to being louder than a Head/Cam LS1, his smile immediately drops off his face. Without missing a beat I revved the engine with a quite loud spool followed by my HKS SSQV going off. Directly after the loss of smile after the cutout, his jaw dropped from the Revs. You might be confused on how he didn't know it was Boosted before hand. Well, the T-70 is a larger turbo, espeically for a V6 and as long as I don't get on it, I will stay in vaccuum and not spool or set off the BOV at all, making it completely audio-incognito to people around me about it being boosted. Well after the cutout open/rev, I felt like adding insult to injury by purging my nitrous (I wasn't running it, but felt like purging it anyway), which is located in the center of my windshield where the wipers are. He went speechless for 5 sec followed by him saying this is bullshit with a weird switch from BS to he's gonna "rape" me anyway. 0.o His GF dropped her bra and once it hit the ground, we take off. At the time my 4L60E transmission was losing it's 2nd gear synchro pretty bad, so the 2nd gear shift was harsh, but once I'm in 2nd gear, the rest of the tranny was fine. I baby the car off the line, no DR's or slicks, just on 275 BFG Sports. As I baby it off the line at about 1/2 throttle, I can't help but hear his car audibly overtaking my car's sound with it's high pitch. He was running all out but I realized he was still right next to me, us both on par with each other. My redline was 7200 at the time, but I decided to shift it to 2nd at 5600-5900ish and once I did, it was WOT till the finish line, and I left him pretty good. The strip we raced on's finish line is a measured almost exact 1/8 mile and by the time we hit the line, people say I was a good 7-9 car lengths on him. The best part was when he had to hand over the $$$. Apparently he only had $50 and had to ask his (VERY furious now) GF and a friend for the rest of the cash. Great night, great memory. Life with this car only got better after that night, so so many awesome times to date, I will never sell it.

I have always been a fan of stock looking cars that can absolutely fly. My Z06 even being one of them, looks stock, sounds stock, but will be running 10's very soon.

That's quite enough Blabbing from me and thank you all again for the information. I look forward to discussing and updating everything we do to the S2000 with this forum.

Here are a few pictures of the S2000, Z06 and Camaro.

Here's a car show we were face cars for.

Also, as you can see, the billet shade grill covered the intercooler from sight.

Here's a pic of the old setup (no pics of the new setup yet.)

If you would like to see more, just click on the Fquick link at the top of this Post.

AGAIN, thanks for the responses.

A turbo is the only way to go in a high revving 4 cylinder. Go for a equal length manifold and a gt3076 r, and you will have plenty of power and response. Most superchargers on the market for s2k's are centrifugal, which makes very peaky power. A well sized turbo always has an advantage over centrifugal supercharger setup's due to a much more broad power band.

Not what I was expecting for the camaro. I've always been a big fan of the Grand Nationals though and the power that those 6's can make is unreal! Also I see by the plate you are in VA. where at? If you ever need a hand with the S just send me a pm. Dont really have anyone else around charlottesville that messes with turboed s2000s and such.

I surely don't. Sorry. :/ I've never ran race gas on any of my vehicles or vehicles I've worked on, ever. I have been considering switching my Camaro to E85 to delete the meth needed. There is a local E85 distributor in each major town in Virginia that I visit from what I saw, don't think that helps though.

Right now I'm exploring the S2000 enginebay. Wes has decided to go all out on this car. So we shall. $10,000 is the restraint. I plan on using a Variable Vane Turbo by Aerocharger, this will help with turbo lag. http://www.inlinepro.com/s1/p-93-s2000-t4-manifold.aspx <-- This header, but the rest of the piping will be bent on site. The engine, from what I've read, seems to be quite stout. So I will just Stud up the head with an MLS gasket and lower the compression a bit; with stiffer springs and stronger retainers. The fuel will be custom setup by me with -8 line from (unless problematic for this import) a dual Walbro 255lph setup to a matched -8 fuel rail to low impedance 120lb injectors, which will be matched with an impedance box. It will also be converted to a true-return system with an Aeromotive Boost Referenced Fuel Pressure Regulator. Pretty sure we are going to go with the Hondata KPro, but not sure, we'll worry about it later. We will cut some major costs by doing this in-house to make the most of the budget. Our goal, 700rwhp on Q16 and possibly 50/50 and 500rwhp on 93. If you have any critique on the general direction we are heading would be much welcomed.

As for the drivetrain, I'm getting a headache reading these threads.

10k isnt really all out in this car, unfortunately

You dont need an impedance box or a gasket kit to lower compression, and imports describe injectors in cc's not lb's, so if you're not going to run e85, get id1000's.

I dont know what you mean by true return system, but it sounds like another waste of money, at least for this application.

the goal is modest enough that you dont even need dual walbros.

Crap, the above post was mine.

Didnt know my phone was signed in under buddys sn.

All you really need is a clutch, walbro, kpro and the ptuning kit.

I have the manifold you posted, and its overkill for under 900, imo.

dont touch the block. leave it stock oil pan to valve cover. you can make what your looking for on e85 100%.

You should be alright with your 120/lbs injectors, just make sure you use that impedance/resistor box you mentioned. KPRO doesn't like low impedance injectors without it.
