Default Cast Manifold Oil Filter Fitment

So I took some quick measurments and it looks as if the factory oil filter will fit between the turbo and block if the oil cooler is removed. If so I would like to remove my relocation kit and bolt the filter on the block just as I did with my Greddy kit.

I wouldnt do it. Even though the factory oil cooler isnt the best, it does help a bit in keeping the oil temps in check.

It shouldn't matter, it'd be no different than running your oil relocation kit. It didn't utilize the oil cooler.

The only concern I would have is the fact that it is so close to the turbo manifold. Maybe a small heat shield would help?? Or maybe just get some of the stick on heat stuff and put it on your filter and keep some spare for oil changes?? haha

Nope IP requires the removal of the cooler.

I second not going this route, there is a lot of heat relatively close to the manifold/turbo setup on the IP setup. You'd be adding more heat to the oil, which is not good. Call up IP and they'll tell you.

Does the full-race relocation kit require the oil cooler to be removed as well?

Wtf the inline pro kit deletes the oil cooler? why would they do that. The ultimate racing relocation kit keeps the cooler, it is a pain to route 2 oil hoses and 2 coolant hoses though. But I think it is worth it to keep the oil cool.
