Car threw 1399 CEL
Situation: Car has been great. I was cruising down the beltway (~90 degress that day) and the engine light came on (i.e. blinking). I had a friend pull the code and it was a 1399.
Car: 2001 S2K w/ Vortech Supercharger (blower on for ~5k).
Plugs: Denso
BTW - I haven't checked the plugs yet but wanted to get some opinions before I proceed to the dealer or go on a wild goose chase..
Any idea what I should do to resolve?
Thanks for the help
Jeremy

"1399" is a temporary cylinder misfire on 1 or more cyliners.
Check your Vortech wiring on both black boxes. A connection may have loosened or corroded. Since it's temporary, reset the ECU and see what happens.

I've seen a bad injector causing intermittent misfires on a Vortech car. Eventually the injector become bad enough to misfire all the time. Xviper has good advice, you neeed to double check all the timing controller wiring connections 1st before moving on to other causes.
