Ok I bought a code reader and pulled 10 yes 10 codes.....
Here is the list
p1106
p1259
p0139
p0302
p0303
p0304
p0410
p0300
p0136
p0410 yea I got it twice.

so Random misfiring misfires in cylinders 2,3,4
O2 issues bank2 and air injection stuff.
I have an emanage and don't know which ones I will pull from it but if anyone has any advice I am up for it.

I did erase all of the codes so that I can pull them again tonight and see which ones are frequent.

P1259 - that's vtec system failure - It could very well be why you're hitting the rev limiter at 6000 rpm. Double check and make sure that the wiring between your emanage and ecu is all sorted out. Also, wouldn't be a bad idea to hook up your emanage to a laptop and check what your vtec settings and map clamp are set to.

Also make sure that the connectors on the solenoid are nice and tight and that you haven't melted anything with the turbo - though I doubt it'd be the latter since you haven't had your turbo on for that long right?

The vtec is coming off of the ecu. We disconnected it from the emanage. Can't hoook up the laptop due to port issues.

There is still a vtec system failure even though it might be running off the ECU; could be a dead vtec solenoid.

But the car will run into vtec 5-6 times before it stops. Once it stops it won't go back into vtec or above 6000 rpms until the car cools off.

no matter what CEL you get won't it go to a safe map and not let you past 6K?

so the 6K may not be the issue, the CELs are the issue

Ok. I drove to dinner and back and haven't thrown a code yet. What codes would throw this car into a limp mode like that???

I got a P1259 that threw it into limp mode cause my map clamp was to high. I would not drive the car anymore until you can resolve your laptop connection issues or get it to a tuner. This is how you here horror stories with turbo kits blowing up motors, people ignore problems and keep driving the cars.

My laptop connection issues will never be resolved. My computer doesn't have the proper port for the emanage. I can throw that code without it going into limp mode. Its the same code if oil perssure was to low or not enough voltage to the vtec solenoid or any of that stuff. If the vtec solenoid doesn't engage it will still rev out with the small cam. On my car there is a limiter coming on at 6000rpms I cannot rev over that.

limiter most likly means the engine is detecting a problem (hence the CEL) and feels its best to stop at 6k. Revhi is correct, I wouldn't drive to crazy until its sorted out. Bring it back to the tuner and see if it isn't an emanage setting.
