Can I only change my act disc and not touch the pressure plat or flywheel?

Default Can I only change my act disc and not touch the pressure plat or flywheel?

My car currently makes 442whp and 285 tq. My act hdss only has about 15k miles. I let a friend borrow my car and because of being stuck on some hills and being not expearance the clutch was totally fryed with in a day. Now it slips like crazy under boost.

Question.

Can I pull the transmission and just change the disc. Or is it really that important to replace the pressure plate as well as resurfacing the flywheel again.

I think I'll try an oem disc this time. Will the oem disc and the act hdss disc have any difference in the power they can hole if there both used with an act pressure plate.

I change the disc while leaving the pressure plate and flywheel alone. You will go thru several before you need to replace the pressure plate.

You'll be fine as long as there isn't any cracks or heat warped areas on the flywheel or pp. They should be the same on clamping power or close.

Yeah no shit, at least wile your not in the car monitoring them

OP just replace the disc, OEM will be just fine. You probably will want to do a light sanding or resurface on the flywheel though depending on condition, i'm sure its full of hot spotting, might want to give the PP surface a little love too. See what these look like and go from there.
