Can Comptech kits still be purchased?

Since the Comptech DBW kit is vaporware and the Kraftwerks hasn't been released until after the 1st of 08 CARB certification doesn't really matter. I'd bet that the Kraftwerks sees CARB certification before Comptech.
On paper the Rotrex/Kraftwerks is the superior compressor, as well as higher output.
Rotrex SC's use a separate oil supply. No oil pan tapping required.

You don't need to tap the pan with a Comptech either so don't let that rotrex marketing line sway you from buying a Comptech kit if you want to go that route.
Go with whatever kit you feel comfortable buying. If you are close to Comptech and are comfortable with their products and people etc I would go with them. If you want to wait for the new Jackson setup then wait, from all the rumors and speculation it sounds like it should be pretty good.
Slow was correct that there are many deals on used kits in the FS forum.

I know all about the advantages of the Rotrex blower (I've been researching and talking to people about SCs for the last year) but it's not that much of a deal breaker for me due to the reliability and proximity of CT. Price will be though.

No offense taken - just like to get the facts straight.
Something to consider about new products though...

Who's (or should I say who was) beta testing for the DBW's?
I'm still waiting for Greddy to CARB the AP1 kit and hash out all the bugs B4 I buy it.
