Default built motor for boost

Well I'm thinking about picking up a k24 crank on Sunday . I'm building the bottom end I know the face needs to be machined but what else would I need for this to work? I'm going aftermarket pistons and rods which ones would I need to get? Block need to be machined? Is it worth the hassle or should I just go with one of my f22 or f20 crank?

Are you trying to go f24c route?? i guess im a little confused by ur post? Are u trying to do the k24/h22 piston set up??
The k24 crank might be a little less expensive..Try majestic honda or honda parts unlimited.com.k24 crank is around $700..The 99mm stroke crank and 87mm bore pistons are gonna put u at around 2.356L or 2.4l

The face needs to be machined?? Are u talking about the beveled lip of the k24 crank needs to be machined in order to fit the s2k flywheel. Also the h22 rods need to be machined 2mm on each side in order to fit on the k24 crank..Theres a few other things that need to be done if your going this route. This is the setup im currently with, and if ur thinking of going boost, unless its LOW boost stock h22 pistons are not going to work.PM me if u have any questions

Haha yeah I'm getting the motor sleeved and I'm going with aftermarket pistons and rods. This motor is going to rev high and see near 30 psi of boost. Would I still need to machine the rods? Or can I buy ones that will fit. Or does someone make a crank that fits our motor?

Ok well theres quite a few things that need to be done. in my opinion if your running that much boost and trying to rev high then a forged, blueprinted bottom is what ull need. Darton sells sleeves for around $600.
If you go with the k24 crank then u need to bore out your oil journals on the crankshaft, also the block needs to have a few things done to it..
I can give u way more information but i need to know which route your going.
your either wanting a 2.2 or a 2.4, the darton sleeves can only be bored to 90mm, which from what ive read (correct me if im wrong) 90mm seems to have some issues with these motors.

IIRC InlinePRO sells billet stroker cranks for our car.

Ilp does 2.5 and 2.7. I'm fully building the bottom end for big boost I just wanted. To see if I could run a k24 crank without much issues. Ill just run the 22 and call it a day or if someone makes a 2.4 that will drop right in. I'm already going with sleeves pistons and rods don't want to waste any energy going the k24 route if I can just up the boost.
