Souldnt this kinda work
i was told that they had a screw or something on it to set the pressure of when its activated and releases the pressure, it seems if i set it around 8 psi it would work, but i dont think its "smart enough" to release only the pressure above 8 psi.
but if there is a solution im sure my mechanic can find it, he is well known, and my car goes in the shop in two weeks. if i find a solution ill make sure to post it

or he is talking about a popoff valve... opens at a pressure determined by strength of spring. from i read on it, not all or none, only pressure excess of set level.
designed as a safety check to vent pressure if the turbo wastegate gets stuck open
blowoff valve vents pressure when you get off the gas

sunocco 94.
pete is getting around 307 with a 4.25 pulley and 103 octane on his '02
he is working on an aftercooler setup while i try the emanage setup. i will probably try the aftercooler once he works outs the bugs, but he says he is happy with just using the VAFC for now.
i really want to drop on my 3.875 pulley and it looks like i need both to be really safe.
this is also why i am looking into ways to release extra boost so that i can get boost earlier in the RPM range without blowing up the stock internals. the tech we use showed us a setup on another car that might work for us, will take a couple weeks to find out.

What you need is a variable size pulley - as rpm increases, pulley diameter increases. This is technically possible to do, but I'm not sure anyone has made one yet, except in some automatic transmission applications. Another possibility would be a clutch arrangement on the pulley that governs the speed of the pulley. This approach has been used in the past on some industrial machinery.

There are several SC kits out there that do use a different pulley and a BOV to give the boost earlier.
I know of one with a Whipple and one with a Roots. I have never seen it done on a Centrifugal, but there is no reason it wouldn't work.

So they use the Blow off valve to controll boost psi??? I didn't think that was possible.....
I thought that a wastegate is used to controll boost pressure and the BOV releases all boost once throttle is let off..........
