BOV install questions
Ok I took off the hose from the aftercooler and installed the BOV. The stock bypass valve is attached to the elbow of the air intake and is still there.
I just taped that end up that the hose used to be connected to and took the vaccum hose off the top of the stock bypass valve and connected it to the top of the BOV. (Godzilla). I didn't plug the small hole on the stock bypass that I disconnected the hose from...
The hose comes down from the intake manifold, splits into a "Y" valve, one end connects to the top of the BOV and the other into the check valve that leads to the ACV.
IS THIS THE CORRECT SETUP??
Am I loosing power because the air is being blow into the atmosphere instead of the air intake? or is it nominal....
The car feels different with the BOV on........maybe it's the sound but my BUTT dyno feels like it's slower...
What are your thoughts?

Did you leave the stock bypass on the intake tube or take it off and plug it?
Besides that it sounds like you did it right. You shoudnt loose power releasing into the atmoshpere. Did you mess witt the spring on the BOV? Make sure its shutting at full throttle and check the connection to the aftercooler for boost leaks.
This is mine.

That's how I installed the BOV (facing down)....but my hose extends over toward the left.....where is your hose going? to the intake manifold?
I left the stock BPV on the elbow.... should I take it off? If so what did you plug it with..
Sorry for so many questions.....I just don't want to lose performance for a "noise maker"
Thanks

I took my stock bypass valve off and plugged it with a lotion bottle cap and taped it up with electriacal tape. I know its ghetto, but it works.
Which hose, the vacuum line coming off the BOV?

Try taking off the stock bypass valve. Do you have a boost gauge? Is it still hitting full boost?
I don't have a boost gauge but my butt dyno keeps telling me it's not as much boost with the BOV.... ....
Is your boost reaching max with the BOV?
