Boost and oil question
I took my MY05 turbo today for a spin around downtown with my Subby freind. I boosted more then a few times and had a few rounds of exciting driving. I had a full oil line on the dipstick. When I got back home I rechecked it and their was 2 Diamonds off the oil dip stick missing. Is there something going on here or is it that these cars tend to burn more oil with boost and vtech? I am wondering if there is anything going on. And if I should switch to something else but 10w 30 synthetic? Any advise guys?

nevermind, mabey I am a complete retard at reading oil. Wow, I just went back and did it nice and slowly and it read full five diamonds. Is it me or do I not know how to read oil? I got the basics. Plain flat surface, a few minutes after engine has been stopped, take out, clean, dip, take out, analyze, observe, repeat, wipe, dip. I need 101 oil reading class. I need a oil pressure gauge BAD~! I dont know where to put it though look at my setup...
I know this kinda went off the subject, but we can keep it going here some how. Dont move me damit! lol
I also have a 19 point serial gauge. Is there anyway I can have it read out on there. It would save me so much trouble of buying or even planing to cut for another gauge. I believe and do not quote me on this Todd; You said that it can not be done and I would have to buy the whole new gauge????

I had to almost wait an hour after running the car before I could check my oil due to the fact that there is still oil in the turbo feed and drain lines as well as in the turbo.

I believe its one or the other on the gauge... I have not tried a serial Y-cable yet (cant find one... everyone only carries USB locally).
I have an extension run up under the steering column where the gauge serial attaches. Just disconnect and attach the extension to the laptop, and its ready to go, no need to remove kick panel everytime a laptop is needed...

I have a related question. Can you have a laptop plugged in at the same time as the gauge? Or is it one or the other?
