Both krank vents should flow the air away from the engine. Point the ends of the krank vent, that have what looks like a scribed indention line around the circumference of the base, away from the engine.
Hopefully I explained that clearly.

Hey how quickly did you guys get the krank vent after ordering? Did you order directly from the krank vent site? If the name of the place would not be allowed to be posted on here, could you pls pm me? Thanks

Haven't been able to speak with "Billy" at Comptech, but at this point I'd agree that the stock PCV valve (if that is what Comptech is relying on) isn't up to the task. So - what kit? The "mini" vent kit?

I'm going to install these now, and I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but just to triple check that I am understanding this... so the smaller vent that will go from the PCV valve to the intake manifold should flow TOWARDS the intake manifold and the larger vent that comes out of the end of the valve cover should flow AWAY from the head? Also, is it ok to run this larger vent with a breather filter on the end of it? Thanks.

One other question... i'm using the line from the PCV valve to the intake manifold as the vacuum source for my BOV, this vent won't have an affect on that, correct?

Both flow away from the valve cover.

I wouldn't tap the pcv line for vacuum since it is contaminated and eventually the oil vapor may cause problems. It will probably work ok but I'm finding it totally unnecessary and besides I like being paranoid.

There are several other vacuum ports on the intake manifold. I've run all but one of my vacuum attachments on the same line without difficulty. Just pick up a cheap vacuum manifold or a T at the parts house and it looks good.

Thanks for the advice sideways, I appreciate it. Point well made about the oil vapor from the PCV valve, I just moved the vac line for the BOV to another line on the intake manifold where I had my boost gauge T'd off. These vents really seem to work, when I pull the dipstick you can hear the suction sound of it loosing vac, and now my BOV sounds way different then before. It is much deeper, I wasn't expecting that. It sounds like it is letting out the air at twice the pressure.

I put my BOV line to the lower pipe under the fuel rail. Since I removed the air pump system due to the EMS it allowed me to have a unadulterated vaccum source for my bov.
