Is black exhaust smoke at full boost 19 lbs on pump gas indicate any problems?A car that i am looking to buy does this.It is a built motor that is tuned,no smoke at idle or average driving.my fds might puff some blue exhaust ,but it uses oil in the combustion process.

after searching i found out that black smoke is good white is bad.

Nothing wrong with black smoke and its normal with boosted cars. Could be running a little rich though if its really excessive.

He probably has a test pipe. That'll give you black smoke too.

when i get on it at night i see smoke in the headlights of the car behind me, it's kinda funny. during the day it's only slightly visible, but as they said, black is from fuel, not oil.

I used too see black smoke. I think swapping the old plugs for new ones resolved my issue.

Black just means shes runnin a little rich! better rich than lean
