AP1 intake cam in an AP2
Im planning my next set of upgrades on my sc and I was doing a little research on the AP1 intake cam and how it theoretically can increase your power up top.
But I also heard from Sideways that it could also increase swirl in the cylinders which means more chance for detonation.
But I didnt find anyone that has accually done it yet!
Has anyone done it?
If so did you also go with upgraded springs, valves, and retainers?
Are the upgraded springs valves, and retainers necessary in this case?
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure Jimboner did this mod not too long ago. I never heard how it turned out.
IIRC the whole AP1 cam thing came from a spec error on BC's website. Also I've heard that AP2 cams are better for FI.

theres a thread somewhere that has all the specs of both ap1 and ap2 intake/exhaust cams. honestly, there so close in spec i wouldnt waste my time.
more boost is way easier and will yeild more power. i wouldnt mess with anything else until your over 14psi

Here this should help, but you will not find anyone doing back to back dyno's with different cams.
