Thumbs up Anyone know this turbo? Precision 5031 t3/t4?

Just wondering if anyone knows about this turbo? I am thinking of getting it with a ebay/custom turbo kit I am looking to piece together shortly.

Here is a link to the turbo I am looking to get so the ebay turbo kit will have a real turbo as well as replacing the wastegate with a Tial one.

Precision 5031 turbo.

Oh and here is the ebay turbo kit I am looking to get minus the turbo and wastegate.
They offer 650cc precision injectors and walbro 255 fuel pump for an additional $410.
WIll subtract $65 for no wastegate. Plus $450 for the precision turbo or -$160 with no turbo.
Intercooler piping has beaded ends. I know it is 2.25" only but only looking for around 350whp at the most.

Turbo kit.

The specs are listed on the ebay page. It's a 50 trim T04E compressor side with a T3 stage 3 turbine. Should spool pretty quick on an S2000, you'll probably have full boost before 4k rpm.

That turbo on a DSM (2.0 8.5:1 compression) tends to make full boost right at about 4200 with a full 3" exhaust, with the compression on an S2000 engine, it should be faster.

It should easily make 400-450 at the wheels. It's actually a great turbo for the street on a 2 liter.

Hmm very interesting. So shouldn't have any issues pulling all the way to redline without dying down at all or anything?

Not at the horsepower level you're planning for, it should pull to redline nicely.

Hmm ok I'll wait for a little more feedback from people but might have to pull the trigger on this. Was gonna go sc but with a turbo I can sell my 4.77 gears to get some good money back from what I spend on the kit so I think it will be more fun of a kit anyways rather than a sc kit.

Should be a decent turbo for that power, but you might want to go just a little bigger, something like a 6031.

I ran a 6031 on my DSM at the power levels he's talking about running. In my opinion its just a bit too much lag for those power levels. It was an awesome turbo above 20 psi on race gas, but a 5031 will just perform better at the low boost/low hp level he's looking for.

Yeah, makes sense I. Shouldnt really need the larger compressor.

Anyone actually use this turbo on the S2000? I can buy a brand new one for like $580 shipped I think so that is enticing me. Is there a better turbo for my needs around that price or even less possibly?

Hmm also this one only being $580 does that seem weird? I see the same on other places for like $800 or so. He told me it is authentic with full warranty and it is brand new. But checking other ebay or googling it all others are like $800 or more for this turbo. Either a really sweet deal or something is up with that ebay auction.
