Now build your self a heat shield to isolate the headers from the intake air.

Very nice Leo.

Better yet, let me wake the sleeping giant of metal fabrication, CHAIRMAN
Chairman...I have the pattern if you want to bang out a pile of these heat shields for the guys. I don't have the tools to do it right and they end up looking too hand made.
Call me.

I did mine by putting a 90 degree bend at the bottom with one hole for a large sheet metal screw and washer. It was designed so the size of the bent part fits snug in the cross member thus only one screw was necessary.
Not shown, it has been lined with rubber to seal the area better. A piece of tubing split works well.
The outer edge of the shield is designed so the tubing rests on the fender liner and thus there is no vibration in the shield and it is held in place with one screw.

I have a custom 4inch pipe on my kit (not done by me but by previous owner). Going to powder coat it black. I can snap some pics for you if you want and send them your way or you can come check it out in person when you are back up in NY. Either way works for me. Just let me know.
Here's a shot of the kit on the original owners S.
Props on the sweet parts you have been developing.
On a side note: How many stars do you have Phil but from all the post I have read of yours you definitely earned them all (especially on the vortech maximizing thread. Still need to do the lock nut for the belt tension.)

Looks nice. Yeah I am back in NY now. No car at the moment as some bugs are being fixed with my vortech kit.
I'm def down to check your kit out. You got your blower coated yet?
I wound up re doing mine in candy red now.
Looks pretty good I think.
I was able to find a 4" elbow with a 4 1/8" centerline radius so I will see if it will fit.
