Is that battery mount and the relocation stuff now standard with this kit or custom??

I thought a trunk relocation was included, but don't know how it satnds now. I almost think I would like a trunk mount so I can run a full size battery.

You can do it either way. I wanted mine to remain in the engine bay. I have electronics in the trunk. I did have to upgrade my battery for the supplied bracket. It wouldnt accomodate the oem battery.

When you get ready just voice that you would like the hardware for a stock battery mounting in the trunk instead of a under hood setup for a battery like and oddesy.

The barrel aftercooler Looks good powdercoated.

Is there any way to situate it so it doesn't rub when the hood closes? I'd worry the coating would rub off...

Only thing i know to do is remove the heat barrier. And i dont know if the underhood temps will affect the paint on the hood without it.

i guess you could remove that section of the barrier if you wanted.

It should not be hitting the hood or the under hood heat material.

That is why the barrel is now a 5" version instead of the 6" version that was on the beta kits.

There are obvious signs of wear already on the heat barrier from the few times i have driven it. This was a small concern of mine. You can see in the pics(#2) that there is contact if you look close enough.

It seems to me that if you were to angle the couplers down on the dummy TB and supercharger exit that it would possibly gain enough clearance.

It also seems that perhaps if the elbow pieces off the barrel were shorter (moving it closer to the engine) then it would have more head room. But maybe heat is an issue routing it so close to the engine...

I know this is an old thread but is this still a good production kit to go with for the s2000?

What's the cost for this setup - any drawbacks to this setup vs. a KW or Comptech?
