Aftercooler and Radiator Question

Aftercooler and Radiator Question
I was wondering what the point was of having 2 heat exchangers and 2 water pumps on aftercooled cars? Couldn't you just run 1 radiator to cover both?
Would it prove any benefits or is there a reason it was decided against? Or maybe nobody has thought to do it at all?
Just curious.....

Are you referring to the stock radiator + pump and the one for the SC? Or do you mean, there's is a SC kit out there that runs 2 additional pump and exchangers on top of what came with the car stock?

It just seems like it could be simplified into one system

the radiator is cooling 200 degree coolant from the engine, you don't want 200 degree coolant for your heat exchanger you want the intercooler to get as cool as possible so you use the separate system to cool the intercooler as much as possible. using the coolant from the radiator would have the opposite effect.
so basically you need to have the intercooler's system completely separated to get the coolant as cool as possible, this can't be done if you use coolant from the radiator.
