I also run the AFE..using the 55507 model...tight fit..but does the job.

Looking forward to the pics.
I'm pretty sure this is the one I have too, it barely fit for me but its considerably larger then the one my kit came with.

What's the difference or advantage of an inverted filter?

very interesting! thanks for the pictures! Do you have any pictures of it installed into the comptech box? I'm interested to see how it actually fits in the box as well.

You should call AFE directly and that usually speeds up the process, I got my 2 filters in under a week from them.

Ill have pics up today of the new inverted filter. Its an excellent fit, but you do need to finess it alittle but after its placed, fitment is awesome.
i ordered it through summit racing. first i ordered it, looked like it was in stock, then i checked later and it said backordered to 1/17 and then a week later it said 1/27 or something. maybe i should cancel my order through summit and get this new model number (inverted filter). you have a site for afe, i went through summit 'cause i couldn't find a trustworthy internet store...

There should be a customer service number, just call them and ask for the part number I listed at the top of the thread, I dont remember exacty but I think the filter is under $60.00

Ya bad Idea to go through other retailers because what I was told is that they order in bulk and wont place the order until the bulk discount req is met, so that could explain your wait.

well, i read up on another post and somebody got theirs off of amazon.com and i went there and found both models (AFE 24-91030 at $62.29 shipped or afe 24-55507 at $42.51 shipped). so, a 5" height versus a 7" height and the taller one is $20 cheaper.

hey kyushin, is the afe filter just like a k&n filter, i have the k&n cleaner and spray oil from my NA intake still, is this what is used with the afe one, it is just blue instead of red right, so it's the same thing?
