Default AEM Serial Gauge programming

I'm trying to reprogram my serial gauge with new settings but the Pro Gauge sw can't seem to see the serial gauge? As I dont have a serial to usb cable I'm having to use a serial-to-usb converter and a gender changer to connect the gauge to my laptop. What should the comms settings in Windows be set at for the serial-to-usb adapter?

I'm sure I'm not the only one having this issue here.

your serial to USB adapter will show up as one of the available COM ports, on my laptop it's COM4 for whatever reason. just try different COM ports in the software until you find the one that works.
