I looked at Haltech before I got the v2. I chose the AEM because I liked the software better. I might look at the Haltech software again, but in the end, the tune will be the same outcome.

The v2 would be able to do VE if AEM put the work into it.

I find the haltech software way more intuitive and user friendly. i've not used the infinity software assuming its different than the v2 software but the v2 software was awful

Having been tuning many platforms of vehicles for 15 or so years, the AEM v2 software is VERY FAR shot from awful (seriously, I can show you awful... And what we used because it's all we had). The Infinity software is unfinished, buggy, doesn't snap window properly or keep them on respective pages, disabled tables still come into play, etc.

What I remember from the Haltech is that I had to build my displays and didn't want to spend the time figuring it out when the AEM already had proper displays and tuning tabs. I am downloading the Haltech software now as I have not looked at it in about 5 years. In the end, the tune outcome will be the same.

I wasn't trying to debate if they would or not, considering the answer was pretty obvious without being said. It was more to highlight that the v2 is good, but made better.

Can confirm, the infinity software does have some buggy issues and updates are few and far between. display issues on the computer with tabs. We had an issue with trying to do flex fuel, it just wouldnt pull from 2 different tables and we ended up having to do a jank workaround where it was setup like we were using another set of injectors, yet we were only using 1 set.

I haven't heard of anyone else having that problem so take that with a grain of salt. In the end, once the bugs get worked out I think it'll be one of the best solutions out there

Any updates on this. @Spec_Ops2087 did you ever do this? I am contemplating replacing my AEM v.1 as well

hey buddy,

nope, aem v1 still alive and kicking! Will probably just run it into the ground at this point and then swap with an infinity. I’ve had no drivability issues so it hard to justify the cost.
