In theory, is it possible to make a modification to allow some type of OBD2 compliance for emissions?

Sure, I bet you could. But why bother? Need ODBII output, go K-Pro.

You would need a "black box" that would take the serial data stream out of the EMS and convert it to ODBII communications. I am sure, that something like this would cost more then you paid for the EMS. So again, why bother?

I see, so after cost factors, would be cheaper and more efficient to go Kpro.

I'm not sure it'd cost more than the EMS, couldn't much of the outputs simply be taken of spliced wires from the factory sensors? Just a few things would need to go through the black box right?

With the recent changes to smog testing (completely ODBII based and no sniffer) it means us turbo guys would pass with flying colors rather than it being impossible. Not to mention the data might be able to be tricked to show us passing even if we weren't.....

Maybe the question is what are you trying to do that you think the EMS can't?

Pass emissions?

Unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't do flex-fuel control either.

AEM series 1..How do you setup Boost cut with ignition? I've only seen a cut but with fuel..and to me that doesn't seem like a good idea on boost application. In a over boost condition it will be nice to cut ignition.
