Mine idles at 950 rpm plus or minus about 25. You know my ignition and I have multispark turned on. My plugs are IK27's now but it idled the same with Autolite plugs. Glad to see you got the AEM C2DI and the cbr954 coils working. BYW, I ordered the complete differential conversion and O.S. 1.5 LSD too. Cant wait to get it and hit the 1/4.
Unfortunately, it's no go for me.
I got it to idle at around 1100 +/- 100rpm. I even got it down to 600rpm at one stage My problem is too much ignition timing at idle. You prob know that aldready...thanks for not telling me However the car stalled a lot easier on take off due to my heavier drive train (twin plates clutch, heavier gearbox gears and sticky tyres). I've readjusted it to 1500rpm for now. Will have another look at this when I have more time on my sleeves.

FYI, I am going to hit the 1/4 mile track this weekend. I will try to see if my tuner can wind up the boost to 20psi before that. We (K&A, the local metal heat treatment place, and I) have been testing many sets of axle. Some survived, some did not on the track. We are gaining very valuable information. I currently have axles made from Tool Steel, which is used by many US and Aus drag racers. I will then try out the last set of axles made from EN steel next. Iam also getting used to the new clutch and drivetrain setup on the car. My launch is improving. It should be good this weekend. Wish me luck and lets hope the spring weather will hold up this weekend.

Hey fperra, the twin spark is awesome. Had a bit of spare time at a mechanic's house yesterday. I switched the twin spark on. Fiddle with the advanced idle setting and I got my car idle like stock now. No more stalling in traffic either. The stronger spark made a difference but the twin spark make even a better improvement than expected. Thanks for the tips. AWESOME!!!

BTW has anyone else got the car to idle like stock with the stock ignition system?

I think so. I've been using the same Iridium plugs for ages now.

^, It's nice to have a tuner that has some prior experience with aem.
My car tuning is a steep learning curve for both me and my tuner as both of us has never tune an aem before. My tuner only touched the fuel, ignition and boost control maps. I had to start the car, tuned idle, logs and monitor knocks etc etc. It's been a fun and occasionally frustrating journey.

I just came back from hopefully my last tuning session. We have pulled 109 dyno runs. Luckily this is on a friend's dyno. I had free dyno, tuning and advises in exchange for life time medical advices & cares in return. Otherwise this would have been costly. Here is the result with 19psi on the boost controller, 18psi on the dyno and delfi boost gauges;

I am glad to say that my car very close to final completion. My tuner, Martin Donnon, certainly amazed at the VE of the honda vtec cam. He is happy with the aem. I am glad that things work out ok. I still have a few more things to tune but at the moment 96% happy with it.

Bottom line is the aem ems is excellent but will require lots of tuning time.

Ya know this thread is two and a half years old?

Emissions laws are pretty steep but not really enforced.
