Dude, are you still using the black check valve on the MAP sensor? Is it working OK?

Wes,

The bracket on the side you point to is the one I just replaced. This bracket is sorta shaped like a gun: the wide "grip" part mounts to the engine body and the "barrel" attaches to the front plate.

On mine, the barrel cracked completely thru near the grip. There must be some tension against this bracket, because I tried to move it and it didn't budge against hand pressure. Off the car, however, this bracket is in two pieces - the grip and the barrel.

This bracket is pretty easy to replace. The new, replacement bracket has a much wider grip part and a much shorter barrel part.

I think I'm going to go check my front plate now.
