Yeah, thrust washer failures at 200 miles have nothing to do with the pressure plate.
This just aint right...

So its a brand new OEM engine from laskey or a rebuilt one?
If it was your old engine that you had built did you run the ACT pp on that and how long?
and when did you buy the PP? just wondering if you got the revised one or old one.

I have an older ACT PP. The pedal is very stiff.
I dont have any clutch pedal bypass, i push in the clutch and start it normally.
The pressure plate has been in the car for 95,000 miles.
Clutch is not your problem.
Sounds like the thrust washer experienced a dry start.
It should be coated with molly. once the car is started, it will retain oil in its little slots and stuff for the next start.

sounds like the thrust was not set properly, then it was all downhill from there. i HIGHLY doubt it had anything to do with the clutch at all. clutch damage from stress takes a good while to bust up engines with 50k+miles on them, let alone ones with 0 miles. no way it coulda dusted your brand new motor in 200 miles.
hate to say it, but that sounds like an engine assembly error my friend. :-/

I would give laskey hell if I was you. For 200 mile motor to fail like that is not caused by a pressure plate. If you say you primed the engine then you did your job.
Laskey is a good engine builder but everyone makes mistakes. I had a rear main seal that was installed wrong a few years back from laskey. The edge was rolled on it. Luckily I saw it when I was installing the flywheel so I saved myself a few hours of removing the trans to fix an oil leak.
