Default 600hp+ clutch

anyone running between 600 - 700hp .... i'm curious as to what clutch yall are running. i'm currently running an act heavy duty clutch and pressure plate. it's said to be good for 383 ft-lbs of torque. should i upgrade again or just leave this one till it goes out, and if the answer is upgrade then what do u recomend? thanks

i already know how much torque it can handle. the paperwork that came with it said it was good for 383ft-lbs of torque. what i'm wondering is if that is gonna be enough ? running 700hp, what kinda torque are you putting down ? what kinda clutch do u use ? does it slip ? etc ?

Well if your running 700hp, how much torque will that be (I think hes trying to say).

Its torque that causes slip not horsepower (to an extent I guess).

In my S2000 I was using an ACT 6 Puck Clutch, ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate, and Comptech Flywheel. However, I only put 1,000 miles on the setup prior to selling the car. - in case you do not recall, that was at 597.7whp / 381.4wtq.

Honestly at that power rating I was not expecting the clutch to last too long. Personally I would recommend either a Competition Ironman or Exedy Twin Disc Clutch.
