Those times will be hard to achieve in a 370whp s2k, but why, s2ks are lighter. is it cause we cant launch at full potential or what is it ? how about both cars with the same horespower at rolling races , what will be the outcome then. Local track is hosting their first roll racing night. what you guys think?
Our car doesn't "hook" very well. Its too easy to either bog down or just spin, as well as our suspension doesn't favor weight transfer for traction, all of these things are working against you and working for them since they have a heavy car that transfers weight for traction and enough low/mid trq tro pull it form a dig wile being able to more easily modulate it. After that 60' though its a different deal all together. With a roll race, few of these same things mean anything, and therefore you can rely on simple power to weight and gearing. On a roll race, trq means less and less the faster you go, certainly if you are operating in the upper range of the rpm where V8 don't make their trq(which you are) so then it becomes who has the hp and the right gearing with the weight advantage.

If you guys want a car to race in a straight line and "hook up" set you car up to do so. Put a big strong diff, beefier axles, wide high profile tyres, soft front suspension set up, soft or no sway bar, etc etc and you will go fast but the car isn't designed to do so.
It's made for corners and it's bloody strong at what it was designed to do. It's a fun convertible with everything going for it with the standard to slightly modified motor. Boost it with low profile tires and hard suspension and big hp, what do you think it's gunna do. It's going to bog down or spin or break something...
Every car is a compromise in one way or another unless you have some serious cash....

So were you sick of braking parts Joey? Is that the reason for the part out? You have been a big inspiration for a lot of builds On Ya Mate!!

I managed a 12.8 et with 350ish whp but I launched at 6k preloaded with the ebrake shifted well and it was around 60 degrees at 600 feet above sea level I am supercharged mind you and my boost at 8500 rpm is 9.7 looking at the data log so I am very happy with that. my diff is built though caps and a pinion collar built by puddymod first try I bogged and got a 13.5 not much better than stock second wheel hop and let out 13.8 third time was the charm 20 psi in rear tires rear struts near full hard on the edfc controller and the front full soft and I don't think I am going to do it again I just wanted to see if the car was capable of 12's
