Default 3rd fuel pump burned out!

Ok, I just officially burned out my 3rd fuel pump within 3 months! It's ridiculous! I'm currently running e85, and notice my car falling flat on it's face around left turns. It seems to start happening once I hit half a tank of gas. I just started having this issue after I installed a fuel relay mode, and ran a 340 lph. Anyone else here having the same issue? What's the point in owning a turbo s2000 when you can't even make a decent left hand turn without falling on it's face and burning out your fuel pump? Btw, I never let it get to 1/4 tank of gas before I fill up again.

I bet the float is getting caught up on the filter, and you have less fuel then you think. There have been plenty of people that ran out of fuel with bars still showing.

At least it's the pumps and not the motor, I'd keep a close eye on afr

Did you drilled holes on the fuel pump basket? This helps to cool down the pump

Which pump are you using? Aeromotive or Fullblown?

Sorry no, we just finish installing it yesterday, but you can do it with a drill bit, all around the basket, also don't use the sleeve, it will heat it more, in my opinion.

It is an issue with the pumps running dry. If you are getting fuel cut on turns, that is a clear indication of fuel running away from the pump. There is no way that should be happening at half a tank or even a 1/4.

I had a s2k on the dyno a few years ago with pump gas that went lean all of sudden. We looked over everything and could not find out what went wrong. We then pulled the pump out and the sock was pushing the float valve up 1/4 of the way. The gas gauge on the car had more then 1/4 tank but the tank was almost dry.
