3" single vs 3" dual
Typically what types of power differences are there between the 2?
I have a inlinepro 3" single right now and made 433whp on my gt35 setup. It's just too stupid loud for me, so i bought a custom 3" setup of another member.....
Am I going to be sacrificing a ton of power?

If they are full open mufflers like Magnaflow, I'm willing to bet you wont lose any power. Try it out and put it on the dyno to see and get back to us.

A 3" pipe to two 2.5" pipes still has more internal surface area than a single 3" all the way back. It's like going from a single 3" pipe to a 4"-5" single pipe. It will flow just as good if not better as long as the transition from the 3" pipe to the two 2.5" pipes is smooth.

I just bought a IP single 3" for my car, when I was looking at youtube videos this guy did a dyno comparison between the IP and a dual exhaust I believe...[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gjj4dGOjQWk [/media]

^^Bad thing is, we have no idea what dual exhaust was on it. Could have been the stock exhaust for all we know. He says nothing about it except dual exhaust. Could have been a 2.5 dual exhaust all the way back if it wasnt stock. Could have had a piss poor transition from 1 pipe to the duals. There are all kinds of variables. I'm willing to bet money that my UR 3" to two 2.5" and into two Magnaflow straight through mufflers would flow just as good if not better than any straight through 3" with a muffler. The transition from 3" to two 2.5" on the UR exhaust is super smooth and you couldnt get it any better. It's pretty much like a nitrous port Y adapter.
