This ^ Give ILP a call they will tell you the same. It was one of the first things I asked when I sent my block down.

What data/evidence do you have to support this? I'm also curious why different alloys require/don't require oil squirters.

To me, when OEMs add oil squirters to their high performance engines, that should tell you something. Honda and GM both did it on very, very different engines. It's certainly possible to make power without them, but I would rather have tighter tolerances, extra piston cooling, and extra lubrication.
